Spider-Man: No Way Home

This movie was highly anticipated in our house for one of my children as they are a huge fan of Spider-man (more so Spider Gwen)! Even though this movie doesn’t have a Spider Gwen, it was still very exciting to watch. I enjoyed the bringing back of both other Spider-men and old villains. It was a great way to introduce the multiverse!

So you have to really imagine our dinner here, as it turned out just ok (the rest of the theme was on par). Tyler had the idea of creating a spider out of ground beef and cheese. When you see the pictures, it didn’t look the best. But what was attempted was he molded the ground beef (Italian meatball flavor) into a body of a spider. Then it was placed on a tray where cheese was laid down to create the spider legs. All of this was put into the oven to bake and it was supposed to then look like a spider. However, it only somewhat looked like one,l and was a little underwhelming. We ate it on sub bread and added the marina sauce for a complete meatball sandwich. The sand which itself tasted very good, just execution of a spider was a bit off!

So we knew from some spoilers that just like the previous Spider-men were coming back, so were some of the villains. So we thought it would be fun to have a drink for each Villian. We had the Green Goblin, Electro, Sandman and The Rhino. For the Green Goblin, Kyrie had an nonalcoholic Green Apple Gatorade. For Electro, Jules had an nonalcoholic Cool Blue Gatorade. For Sandman, which was my drink, we made OJ and some orange flavored vodka. For Rhino, which was Tyler's drink, we made Baileys and Vanilla Vodka. Each person enjoyed their mixture! Because the girls chose their villans, we made those drinks nonalcoholic. But you can easily make them more adult by adding some alcohol.

The dessert was so fun and the girls helped make them! We made our own chocolate chip ice cream cookie sandwiches. The chocolate chip cookies were marbled blue and red for Spider-man theme. The only issue I had was the cookies didn’t flatten as much as I wanted to when baked, so they were very thick ice cream cookie sandwiches. We used vanilla ice cream and they turned out very yummy! It's always fun when the girls help out in some capacity. I feel when they do some baking or cooking for the theme, they will have some special memory later on in life.

Tell me what you thought of the new Spider-man movie and the actual theme. We had fun doing this one. I always enjoy when the girls participate in it!
